No on Prop 8 - Post Election Action
Hollywood Lutheran Church vigorously opposed the passage of California's Proposition 8, to deny civil rights of marriage to same-gender couples. We volunteered constantly and contributed dollars to fight the proposition. (See the September 7 News Release regarding the congregation's action on this election issue.)
Now that this proposition has passed, by a small majority vote, many community and grassroots efforts are joining in the struggle to invalidate Proposition 8 either through the courts or by a repeal action on the 2010 ballot.
