Welcome to HOLLYWOOD LUTHERAN CHURCH

Are you a seeker? We are a seeking church. Come join us in our search for God's presence in our world.  Sundays at 10 am, Thursdays at 7 pm.

Join us this Christmas for a wonderful spiritual experience in candlelight and song, hospitality and prayer.

At 6:30 p.m. our organ designer/builder, Mr. Weston Harris, will begin the evening with a brief Organ Concert featuring many musical holiday favorites.

Following with pause at 7:00 p.m., the ecumenical Candlelight service begins.  We welcome our friends Bp. Robert M. Clement of the American Catholic Church and Fr. Hans Bjoern Kroneberg of St. Michael's Apostolic Mission — both of whom hold Sunday masses in our buildings.

The eucharistic service includes many Christmas carols ancient and modern, including the medieval "Divinum Mysterium" and the perennial favorite "Silent Night," which will be sung in both German and English as candle light is spread throughout the nave.

Come experience prayer, word and song on this holiest night of the year.  And enjoy our recently restored Sanctuary and 30-rank pipe organ.

We also worship at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 25, Christmas Morning, with a completely different service of Carols and Communion.  Please join us in giving thanks to God for the gift of grace and favor we have in the Newborn King!

Our 90th Year!

Established in Hollywood in 1921,Hollywood Lutheran church is historic in Hollywood, but the congregation is forward-looking and fast-thinking about its mission and ministry in the 21st Century.

We proclaim God's unconditional love for all people. . . and we mean that. Our mission is reaching people who are looking for a caring community, and who long for integrity and spirituality in life — especially those who have faced rejection or scorn elsewhere.
